Cone Calorimeter measures heat release rate(H.R.R), smoke release, ignition time, oxygen consumption, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide generation and mass loss rate when specimen is exposed to resource of conical heater.
The name of Cone Calorimeter is derived from the conical heater as used by Dr. Vytenis Babrauskas to inspect test specimen (100mm x 100mm) with flux up to 100kW/m2 for the bench scale oxygen depletion of his development. Cone Calorimeter test is based on the theory that pure combustion calories are in proportion to a necessary amount of oxygen for combustion and 13.1 MJ/kg is generated whenever oxygen 1kg is consumed, and heat emission, ignition time, oxygen consumption, CO and CO2 generation, and flow of ignited gases as generated from test materials are measured.

ISO 5660 Smoke Density Cone Calorimeter for Building Materials is made for easily controlling the whole parts with DAQ (Data Acquisition) Program in a laboratory. And 19’’ touch screen helps to test automatically as well as reduce installation space.
Additionally, Conical Heater 5 Step Heat Flux Controller (optional part for R&D purpose) helps to measure combustion characteristic about specimen by temperature change and temperature rising time after setting up virtual temperature of real fire conditions. This option helps to measure various results similar to real fire environment. User can set up the user's temperature, rising speed and lasting time after rising with 5 Step Heat Flux Controller and use easily.

Soft ware instruction of cone calorimeter:
1.) Set in order to calibrate the sensor, including the oxygen analyzer, carbon dioxide analyzer, carbon monoxide analyzer, micro pressure difference sensor, smoke density measurement system, weighing device, mass flow control single or double point calibration, in order to obtain the best linear;
2.) C- coefficient calibration, the software can automatically set the C coefficient measurement of gas flow, such as 1KW, 3KW or 5KW, the computer system automatically calculates the ISO 5660 C coefficient and the average C coefficient, and can save the record;
3.) The software can automatically generate the C- coefficient log, which is convenient for the user to view the history of the cone calorimeter, and to identify the accuracy and stability of the system;
4.) The system can automatically calculate the delay time of the oxygen analyzer, the carbon dioxide analyzer and the carbon monoxide analyzer, which is convenient for the synchronous calculation
5.) Status check interface, the working state of the various sensor components of the instrument can be clear at a glance;
